BMW X3 – De-tint/Re-tint

The Requirement

The customer wanted the original tint removing and new tint installing.

Our Expertise

This car had been previously tinted with 15% VLT (visible light transmission) window film. There was nothing wrong with the film itself or indeed the installation but the customer felt that they did not have adequate rear view vision at night. This can happen with the darker shades of window tint and is something to bear in my mind when choosing your shade. We stripped the old tint and reinstalled using Suntek CXP 35% VLT.

AUDI S3 Sportback – De-tint/Re-tint

The Requirement

The customer wanted the original tint removing and new tint installing.

Our Expertise

The suspicion was that the exisitng window film had been in place for around 9 years! The film had started to turn a blueish purple when viewed from inside. Film that is turning purple is a sign of a very low-grade window film whose mounting adhesive and dye components have broken down over time with exposure to UV. Gorilla Kustoms use Suntek CXP window film which uses carbon instead of dye to achieve the required shade. Carbon will not fade - ever and thus the film we use comes with a lifetime manufacturers warranty. The installation is guaranteed by Gorilla Kustoms for as long as you own the vehicle.
